LockedIn AI Review

LockedIn AI publishes more detail about itself than almost anything else in this category, which makes it easy to evaluate, right down to where its free tier stops.

We build CoPilot Interview, which competes with this product. That is a reason to read us critically, so here is our standard: everything below comes from the vendor's own published material, we do not repeat their unaudited marketing statistics as fact, and any price we name is dated to when we checked it. Where something is not published, we say so rather than guessing.

What it is

A purpose-built interview copilot that runs two layers at once: an AI Copilot suggesting answers and an AI Coach alongside it. Answers arrive in STAR format, which is what behavioral interviewers are scoring against, and the vendor claims responses in under one second.

It has the widest device reach of the desktop-first tools: Windows 10 or later, macOS 13.1 or later, a web app in Chrome, Edge, Chromium, Opera and Brave, plus iOS and Android.

What stands out

Three things, all of them unusual. First, the competency-scoring report after a session, which tells you which competencies were weak rather than just what was said. That is the only feature in most of these products that makes your next interview better rather than your current one easier.

Second, language coverage: 45 or more languages and regional accents, with bilingual auto-detection so a conversation can move between two languages. If you interview in English as a second language, this is the most concrete answer published by anyone here.

Third, the breadth of the Coding Copilot: LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeSignal, CoderPad, HackerEarth, Codility and InterviewBit, with around twelve languages and a VSCode extension. It also covers online assessments, and offers LockedIn Duo, which brings a remote human helper into the session.

What the free tier covers

As of October 2026, the vendor's support page confirms the free plan: unlimited 5-minute sessions, up to 60 free minutes a day, with a 1-minute pause between sessions and no credit card required.

That is enough to judge answer speed and quality, but the 5-minute cap means you cannot run a full-length mock round for free, so plan your evaluation around short bursts.

What it costs

As of October 2026: Unlimited General at $54.99 a month or $39.99 a month billed every 3 months; Unlimited Professional at $119.99 or $79.99; credit plans at $69.99 a month (400 minutes) or $49.99 a month billed every 3 months; and Lifetime Pro at $999.50 one-time. Credits never expire, which suits bursty interviewing, where you do three rounds one week and none for a month. Monthly and quarterly plans are not refundable once started, annual plans can get a partial refund within 7 days, and the lifetime plan is refundable within 7 days only if no session has started.

Alternatives worth comparing

See LockedIn AI vs Cluely for specialist against generalist, LockedIn AI vs Verve AI for the closest match on features, and Final Round AI vs LockedIn AI for prep suite against live copilot.

Disclosed alternative: CoPilot Interview is narrower, a native Windows and macOS app with model choice per question and a permanent free tier with a published allowance: 15 minutes of live help a day. We do not publish a 45-language accent list, and if that is your need, LockedIn AI is the stronger choice.

Frequently asked questions

Is LockedIn AI worth it?

It is one of the most complete products in the category, and the competency-scoring report genuinely helps you improve rather than just get through a round. It is worth it if you will use the coaching and scoring, interview across languages, or need coding coverage on a less common platform. It is over-specified if all you want is a fast answer in one coding screen.

Is LockedIn AI free?

Yes, within limits. As of October 2026, its free plan gives unlimited 5-minute sessions, up to 60 free minutes a day, with a 1-minute pause between sessions and no credit card. That is enough to judge answer speed and quality, but not to run a full-length interview.

What does LockedIn AI cost?

As of October 2026, Unlimited General is $54.99 a month or $39.99 a month billed every 3 months, Unlimited Professional is $119.99 or $79.99, credit plans are $69.99 a month (400 minutes) or $49.99 a month billed every 3 months with credits that never expire, and Lifetime Pro is $999.50 one-time. Monthly and quarterly plans are not refundable once started, and the lifetime plan is refundable within 7 days only if no session has started. Credits tend to suit bursty interviewing better than a monthly subscription.

Does LockedIn AI work in a browser?

Yes. It publishes a web app supporting Chrome, Edge, Chromium, Opera and Brave, alongside Windows 10 or later, macOS 13.1 or later, iOS and Android. That makes it one of the few options if you cannot install software on your machine.

Is LockedIn AI good for coding interviews?

On published coverage it is the broadest in this category: LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeSignal, CoderPad, HackerEarth, Codility and InterviewBit, with around twelve programming languages and a VSCode extension. Check your specific assessment platform against its current list before the round.

What is LockedIn Duo?

A published feature that brings a remote human helper into your session alongside the AI. It is unusual in this category, and whether it suits you depends on whether you have someone qualified and available to sit in. Confirm how it works with the vendor before relying on it.
